Spruce 8
Spruce 8 is by far the most difficult hole on this side. The elevated tee box provides players with a wonderful overview of the hole. The conservative play is to hit it to the bottom of the hill, leaving between 150-165 yards left to the green. Aggressive or long hitters can try and get to the top of the hill, making the approach shot much easier – but be cautious, the fairway becomes quite narrow and the trees are a black hole for golf balls. Approach shots played from the bottom of the hill should be adjusted about 1/2 club more to compensate for the incline in the shot. The green is an upside-down bowl shape that runs off in all directions if your yardage isn’t precise.
