Spruce 1

Spruce 1 eases you into the beauty and challenge you are about to experience at the Innisfail Golf Club. One of the few straightforward tee shots finds the only real trouble coming from the trees down the left-hand side, or for the extremely long hitter – the creek that runs across the fairway. The approach shot is where the fun begins. Spruce 1 marks the first of four multi-tiered greens on this side, making club selection very important. Mounds on the left-hand side will kick balls away from the flag and a bunker on the right will punish any shots that veer offline. A tough two-putt is all that greets you when you reach the green – making a good score here will be extremely difficult.
