About IGC Golf Lessons & Clinics
Innisfail Golf Club currently has 3 certified PGA professionals who offer tutelage for golfers of all skill and experience levels. We offer a positive environment where all ages can access swing coaching, analysis, and mentorship. The training facility exclusively has:
- 14 full-swing hitting stalls (in-season)
- A large undulated practice putting green
- On-course lessons available (during non-peak times in-season)
All of the staff are continually developing their skills and furthering their education to provide the best service and results for clients that consistently fosters player improvement.
Junior Golf Camps & Lessons

Juniors 2025
Members / Non-Members- These sessions will be geared towards those who have never golfed before! We will explore each golfer’s balance, grip, stance, and posture. With the ultimate goal being FUN! Children will receive ample range time, chipping and putting green time.
- Birdies: (Aged 6-8 years old): 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
- Eagles (Aged 9-11 years old): 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Includes 3hrs of Activity
- Must have 3 children per session to run

Juniors Camps
Members / Non-Members- These sessions will be geared toward those who understand the basics of golf and want to take their game to the golf course! Included in each camp will be instruction on the etiquette of golf, how to hit different golf shots and how to manage your golf ball on the course
- Must be 11 years or older to register
- Incudes two days of Instruction, Lunch & Golf
- Minimum of 3 children per camp up to a maximum of 8 children per camp

- How the days will be set up:
- • 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM Arrival and dry land warm up (Stretching, mobility techniques)
- • 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Range Time
- • 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Chipping and Putting Practice
- • 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM Lunch
- • 12:10 PM – 2:00 PM Play Golf

Ladies Lessons & Clinics

Ladies Spring into Swing
Member / Non-Member- The Swing into Spring group clinic is a 4-week program for ladies only that works on every aspect of your golf game. The first 3 lessons will target a specific skill, including: Short game, iron play, and Driver. The 4th lesson will be an opportunity to work on the skill of your choice. This is a great time to tune up your golf skills for the 2025 season! This clinic is for golfers of all skill levels to learn in a group setting.
- Dates: May 2nd, 9th, 23rd, 30th.
- Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- 4 hours of group instruction with one of our PGA of Canada Professionals
- Each participant receives a complimentary drink following each lesson, along with daily food specials in Divots.
- Schedule of Lessons:
- May 2: Short game (chipping/putting)
- May 9: Iron play
- May 23: Driver
- May 30: Open session – an opportunity to target an area of your choice
- A minimum of 3 participants must be registered for the group lesson to operate**
Adult Skill-Specific Clinics
One-hour group clinics, open to ALL players, regardless of ability or gender, focus on key aspects of your game. They are perfect for those looking to improve a specific area without a long-term commitment.

Driver Only Clinics
Members / Non-Members- These clinicsa are 1-hour group lesson focused on the fundamentals of hitting your driver. If you’re looking to increase distance or just hit more fairways, this clinic is for you! All skill levels are welcome.

Members / Non-Members- These clinics are 1-hour group lesson focused on the fundamentals of hitting your irons. If you’re looking to hit more greens, make better contact, or hit your irons more consistently, this clinic is for you! All skill levels are welcome.

Individual Instructional Programs
Lessons pricing is uniform for all certified professionals. All of our certified instructors are listed in the bio sections where you can select the appropriate individual and email to co-ordinate an appointment or lesson package. All golf lessons, programs and clinics are designed for moderated student to instructor ratios to ensure they are delivered with the highest of quality standards.

PGA of Canada Professionals
Kirk Evans
PGA of Canada Professional
This will be Kirk’s 18th season in the golf industry and 13th as a professional. Born and raised in Regina, Kirk completed the PGM program at Grant MacEwan University. He moved to Red Deer in 2018 and was an Associate Professional for the past 7 seasons at the Red Deer Golf & Country Club. He looks forward to meeting the members, creating memorable experiences for all who visit the club, and providing instruction to enhance your skills on the golf course.
Kirk is excited about the 2025 golf season and the opportunity to lead the Golf Operations team.
Melissa Perron
PGA of Canada Professional
Melissa grew up playing every sport that she could but didn’t start playing golf until she was in college taking Kinesiology. She quickly fell in love with the game and got her first job within the golf industry at the Innisfail Golf Club in 2010. She soon discovered that she wanted to take golf as far as she could and become a golf professional however, still finished college in 2014 in Adapted Physical Education. Shortly after Melissa then pursued her career by acquiring her card in 2017 and obtaining her Class ‘A’ designation in 2020. Through her years in the golf industry, she has found a love for teaching.
A previous role at River Bend Golf and Recreation Area was Junior Coordinator where she had the privilege of teaching not only juniors but also many women how to golf. After being away for 7 years she is very excited to come home to the Innisfail Golf Club where she hopes her career will flourish under great leadership.
Dylan Wood
PGA of Canada Professional
Dylan’s passion for golf runs deep, and he’s dedicated to sharing that love with others. Golf has been in his life for as long as he can remember, though he was most impacted by the game through his participation in the Golf Canada Junior. Following a successful junior career, Dylan moved to Lethbridge to pursue a Bachelor of Management degree with a major in finance, where he played two seasons for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. In 2021, he achieved professional status, marking a significant milestone in his golfing journey. Dylan finds joy in all facets of the golf industry, but his true passion lies in leveraging his expertise in the golf swing and club technology to help golfers of all ages and skill levels unlock their full potential. In his free time, Dylan loves spending time with his wife Katrina and their dog Della, playing guitar, and spending time on the golf course with friends.
Matthew Workun
Apprentice Professional
Matthew joins the Innisfail Golf Club team this season after working last season at the Red Deer Golf & Country Club and the 7 seasons before that at the Sylvan Lake Golf & Country Club. Matthew grew up playing on both the Maple Leaf Junior tour and McLennan Ross Junior tour. Experience gained on these tours led to him earning a spot on the University of Alberta Golf team for 2 seasons while he studied for his Bachelor of Commerce. Matthew recently transferred to Red Deer Polytechnic to finish his degree. He will be turning professional this spring and is super excited to merge a hobby into a career. He looks forward to sharing his expertise on the game of golf and help students improve their game and grow our junior program.
