Tournaments

The Innisfail Golf Club has a rich tradition in many of its club events and a strong reputation for hosting corporate tournaments. Having been selected by the Alberta Golf Association to host the 2002 Alberta Mens Amateur Championship and the 2009 Senior Ladies Championship, Innisfail has grown in popularity.

Club Events

Throughout the course of the year the Innisfail Golf Club staff hosts open tournaments for seniors, juniors, ladies, men and couples. The following is the information for these events for the 2011 season

Senior Open

  • Tuesday, July 5th
  • 9:00 AM Shotgun
  • 18 Hole Medal Play
  • $55.00 for members/$95.00 for non-members
  • Includes: tournament entry, powercart, prizes (gross and net) and dinner afterward

Ladies Open

  • Saturday, July 16th
  • 9:00 AM Shotgun
  • NEW format options available
  • Select from either: 18 hole single stroke play or 2-person TEAM Net Best Ball
  • $55.00 for members/$95.00 for non-members
  • Includes: tournament entry, powercart, prizes (gross and net) and dinner afterward
  • Optional horse-race available on Friday evening (extra charge)

Junior Open

  • Monday, August 8th
  • 11:00 AM Double cross-over
  • Age Group and flighted 18 Hole Medal Play
  • $50.00 for both members and non-members
  • Includes: tournament entry, prizes (gross and net) and dinner afterward

Mens Open

  • September 3rd, 4th, 5th
  • Start time will vary
  • 54 Hole Match Play
  • $100.00 for members/$200.00 for non-members
  • Weekend cart pass available for $40.00
  • Includes: tournament entry (3 rounds), 2 meals, first-tee gift and prizes
  • Optional deuce pot and horse-race (to be played Sunday afternoon)
  • Million dollar shoot-out and $10,000 putt contests

ProAm

  • Tuesday, September 13th
  • 11:00 AM Shotgun
  • Modified Stabelford format
  • $160.00 per player
  • Includes: tournament entry, powercart, first-tee gift, prizes and dinner afterward

Mixed Open

  • Sunday, September 18th
  • 11:00 AM Shotgun
  • Modified Scotch-Two Ball
  • $120.00/couple for members/$200.00/couple for non-members
  • Includes: tournament entry, powercart, breakfast, prizes, and dinner afterward
  • Optional horse-race available on Saturday evening (extra charge)

Additional Member Only Events

IceBreaker

  • Sunday, May 1st
  • 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM Shotgun
  • $30.00 entry fee
  • Putting contest, equipment demos, snacks and drink specials
  • Registration closes at 4:30pm on April 25th

Parent/Child Scramble

  • Monday, June 20th
  • 5:00 PM Shotgun
  • 9 holes
  • Prizes, Hotdogs and Pop
  • $10/member; $40/Non-member adult

Member/Guest Scramble

  • Saturday, July 2nd
  • 4:00 PM Shotgun
  • 2-person Scramble
  • $60/team (including Greenfee & cart for guest)
  • Signup in the Proshop by June 24th

Ladies League Member/Guest

  • Tuesday, July 12th
  • 6:00 pM Shotgun
  • $20.00/player
  • Includes: tournament entry, prizes, and dinner afterward
  • Door prizes, raffles and 50/50 draws to take place
  • Deadline to register Friday, July 8th

Ironman

  • Saturday, October 15th
  • 11:00 AM Shotgun
  • 2-man Scramble
  • $40.00/team
  • Includes: tournament entry, prizes, and dinner afterward
  • Open to male members only

Club Championship

  • August 13th & 14th
  • 7:00 AM Double Cross-over
  • 36 Hole Medal Play
  • $40.00/player
  • Includes: tournament entry, 2 meals, and prizes
  • Categories include: Mens, Junior Mens, Senior Mens, Junior Ladies, Ladies, Senior Ladies
